agriculture Career Exploration Program
This program collaborates with local schools to introduce students to various careers within the agricultural industry. Through interactive sessions with agriculture professionals, students will learn about different roles, skills required, and educational paths. Field trips to local farms or agricultural businesses will provide hands-on experiences and inspire students to consider careers in agriculture.
Hands-On Farming Workshops
Partnering with youth programs, this initiative offers hands-on workshops where participants can engage in real farming activities. Students will learn about planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, as well as essential farming techniques and the importance of sustainability. This experiential learning fosters a deeper understanding of agriculture and its impact on food systems.
Future Farmers Mentorship Program
This program pairs students with mentors currently working in agriculture. Participants will receive guidance and support as they explore potential career paths in the field. Mentors will share their experiences, provide insights into the industry, and assist students in developing skills relevant to agriculture. This one-on-one mentorship will encourage youth to pursue their interests in agriculture.
Agricultural Education Curriculum Partnership
This initiative involves collaborating with schools to design and implement an agricultural education curriculum.
